Conveyancing Assistant

We are adding to our ever growing team at Amity Law (Part of Smoove plc) and have a permanent opportunity for a Conveyancing Assistant to work closely with an experienced Fee Earner. The role will be based at our offices in Horwich, however, Hybrid working will be considered after successful probation period.
Role
To assist Case Handlers in achieving the highest possible standards of conveyancing, legal quality/compliance, case progression and client satisfaction.
Support Conveyancing Case Handlers by carrying out administrative work, to include:
Carry out a range of administrative tasks to support Case Handlers in progressing cases, including:
- Anti money laundering checks
- Preparing cases for closure, including the completion of closure forms
- Completing conveyancing forms
- Liaising with 3rd parties to complete tasks and maximise case progression
- Preparing files for Case Handlers to report to clients on contractual documentation, searches, Mortgage Offers etc
- Ensue all key dates are recorded on the case management system and actioned in a timely manner.
- Regularly review files in accordance with published KPI and SLA requirements
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 12months experience as a Conveyancing Assistant with experience assisting fee earners with full Residential Conveyancing caseload
- Holds recognised legal qualifications, is working towards them, or is keen to do so in the near future eg LPC, LLB, CILEX or CLC
- Excellent knowledge of the conveyancing process.
SALARY & BENEFITS
Upto £25,000 DOE
25 days annual leave + bank holidays & Birthday off
Hybrid working available (after successful probation period)
